Sioux city is located in a rocky Canyon that is covered in cacti in Southern Gran Canaria, 1.2 kilometers inland from Playa del Aquila which is just up the coast, going towards the airport, from San Agustin.

Sioux city was built for toriginally as a film set.
Since then it has been converted into a great tourist attraction.

Sioux City was used as a film backdrop to a couple of TV adverts and Take a hard ride starring Jim Brown & Lee Van Cleef
Unlike many film sets full buildings were built rather that just plywood fronts.
Many websites wrongly state that the Spaggetti western A Fist Full of Dollars staring Clint Eastwood was fdilmed here. This film was shot on mainland Spain in Almeria & near Madid
